Semper Augustus

Leo un libro exquisito: Naturaleza muerta con brida, de Zbigniew Herbert (Editorial Acantilado). En el tercer capítulo, Tulipanes de amargo aroma, cuenta el crack de los tulipanes que se produjo en el siglo XVII en Holanda. Por un bulbo de un tulipán de la especie Semper Augustus se llegó a pagar en especie cinco hectáreas de tierra. Como el crack de la bolsa en 1929, o el crack actual que de una manera u otra nos afecta a casi todos.
